This final installment of the celebrity edition of the popular reality show was uploaded in error by overseas distributors prior to its planned UK airing on Thursday night, according to a network statement.
It is understood that the final was viewed by a few hundred subscribers of the online platform the streaming service in the North American country; these individuals were able to watch it for a couple of hours until it was taken down.
This episode being released was not considered a error by the producing network, and a spokesperson for the corporation urged those who believe they know the outcome of the show to "avoid sharing any reveals".
"We kindly ask anyone who thinks they know the outcome of the celebrity edition to keep any information they have to themselves," the statement read.
"We ask you to refrain from posting potential spoilers so that the vast audience who have been faithfully following every twist and turn of the series can experience the final this night."
The Celebrity Traitors is presently the top-rated TV program of the year, with an average of 12.6 million viewers over the initial installments.
Fans of the show have been waiting to see whether traitors Cat Burns and Alan Carr will win the £100,000 prize for charity or whether loyal contestants Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed and David Olosuga will be victorious.
