Prosecutors report that a ex- physician now faces charges for carrying out sexual assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were under his care.

Details of the Serious Charges

The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of acts of sexual assault – including acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.

A senior CPS official stated, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”

The Investigation

These allegations come after what police described as a “detailed inquiry” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.

Spencer is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.
