The commander-in-chief said he’s talked about a White House visit for the loved ones of both individuals of the West Virginia Guard.
“I stated: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a tough thing, come to the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to her,” Trump addressed reporters. “And similarly with him, whether he recovers or not.”
Attendees assembled over the weekend at Webster County high school in West Virginia to remember Sarah.
Both the soldiers had been working with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s government program to assist law enforcement in the capital.
“Sarah was the individual that instructors hoped for. She carried herself with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a positive energy that lifted people around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the principal of her previous school, stated to the Associated Press. “She was caring, compassionate and always eager to help others.”
Memorial arrangements for Sarah are still being arranged.
Law enforcement have charged a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with one count of first-degree murder and charges of attempted murder while armed.
