Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in California aged 55.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.
The renowned game designer died after his car crashed and burst into flames on a freeway in LA on Sunday, as reported by.
"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with his family and friends, his loved ones, and all those touched by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
